We offer innovative short courses for all ages and backgrounds. Courses offered change each term. The course offering for Term 1 2019 is:

Introduction to Customer Service

What is good customer service? How do you deliver it? Introduction to Customer Service answers these questions in class and “on the job” preparing you for additional training, or customer contact, volunteering and employment.
Wednesday 12:15 – 3:15 for 6 weeks starting 6 February 2019.

Introduction to Accounting and Bookkeeping

Interested in a bookkeeping role? Want to better understand your business’s accounting software? Introduction to Accounting and Basic Bookkeeping can help! You will learn the foundations of bookkeeping and accounting and apply them both on paper and using Xero, one of the most popular accounting apps

Introduction to News Media

Learn from the professionals who write, edit, proof, layout, and deliver a 40 year-old quarterly local institution, the North and West Melbourne News. Maybe cover a story and get published yourself!

Foundations for Job Readiness

Do you need a resume, or want to know how to write a better one? Want to practice job interviewing and learn how to tackle tough questions? Foundations for Job Readiness can help! As well, you’ll learn how to find and apply for jobs online.
Tuesday 10am – 2:30pm for 6 weeks starting 12 February 2019

Information, Digital Media and Technology

Grow your confidence and competence with PCs and other digital devices. Classes focus on practical uses such as accessing relevant services on line, communicating electronically, online job searches and safe internet practices. Introductory and Intermediate level courses available.
Wednesday 9:30am – noon from 6 February 2019 until 12 June 2019, with mid-term break.
Cost: $120.00, $90.00 concession

i-Gadgets

What’s an android, or an app? Where’s the keyboard? How do I edit pictures on my phone? Bring your own device (or use one of our iPads) to I-Gadgets and become more familiar with it.
Thursday 10am – noon for 4 weeks starting 7 February 2019
Cost $25.00, $20.00 concession
